We got Ezra!!!!

So for those of you haven't heard yet, we got Ezra!!!!! We got our travel call last Tuesday, flew to Seoul on Wednesday, arrived Thursday night, met Ezra on Friday, played tourist all weekend and got our boy forever on Monday. He is adjusting well, he is attached to me (Jenny) and slowly warming up to Mike. He went from crying at the site of daddy to letting him hold him, feed him and play with him. Slowly I am able to leave the room for periods of time and let dad and son bond. Sleeping has been another big adjustment, but we are working on it. We are having fun, although tired. We know we'll get a "normal" routine at some point. Thanks for all of your prayers, final prayer request would be sleeping through the night! Last night was the first time we had a full nights sleep 10:30 till 5:00 AM!!!!

Update

We found out Ezra had his visa appointment on Friday, that is the last step before getting a travel call. I was hoping it would happen today but our social worker said it usually takes a few days after the visa appointment to get the visa and travel call. I'm sooooooo hoping it happens tomorrow or Wednesday. Please pray for patience and continued faithfulness in God's timing. I know He has it all planned out, and really it has only been one day since his visa appointment. We are so close!!!!

We got EP!!!

We just found out Ezra's Exit Permit has been issued! We anticipate traveling in 2-4 weeks! We are so excited and praising God. He has been so faithful and giving us patience and perseverance.

Paperwork Submitted!!!

We just found out Ezra's paperwork is going into the Korean government today!!!! Thank you for all your prayers! So it has been taking about 3 weeks for paperwork to be processed, but the wait could be longer, there have been groups this year taking 6 weeks. We're praying for 3 weeks. We'll keep you posted, we are just so excited for this step!

Small Update

Well we got some new pictures this week, yeah! They aren't in a postable format so I can't put them up here. We also learned that the latest batch of Exit Permits came out of the Korean government today (Friday). We are praying Ezra is in next batch submitted, hopefully in the next couple weeks. I'm so glad to hear about paperwork movement in Korea and soooooooooo hoping Ezra's moves soon.

No updates this week

Well we didn't learn anything this week, bummer. But I am changing our prayer request. I'm concerned Ezra's paperwork won't make it into the government with the next batch, that would be super disappointing. So please pray for his paperwork to go in with the next batch submitted to the government. Thanks!

More Good News

We had a great good news day today! We got two new pictures of Ezra (I will post later when I have a better format)! He looks happy and like a chunky monkey as usual. We also learned that the next batch of paperwork was submitted to the Korean government, Ezra's was not in it, but we should definitely make the following batch. We are continuing to pray for God to get him here by February 23rd :). Definitely top prayer requests are swift paperwork processing and getting him home by February 23rd!

Good News at last!

We heard today that the Korean government has started issuing exit permits to Eastern Social Welfare Services! (Eastern is the agency Ezra is with in Korea). Currently families waiting since May and June of last year are receiving their exit permits. I have no idea when our turn will come but things are moving at last and I'm so thankful for that! And we have a new addition to our family, Tigger a doxie chihauha pooch. We planned on fostering him until Ezra came but he's so sweet I want to keep him (big surprise). Thanks for all your prayers and keep praying for more exit permits, swift processing and Ezra to come home soon!

Yeah it's 2010!

Finally we've made it to 2010. Although I am eagerly awaiting news from our adoption agency I do not expect to hear anything until next week. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and support, as we find out information we will keep you updated. Prayer requests for the new year are that the Korean government will process paperwork quickly, that Ezra's paperwork will be in the first batch to be processed, and that we would have him home by his first birthday February 23, 2010. On another note, we had to put our beloved dog Mugsley down this morning. We miss him terribly but know greater excitement with Ezra awaits!
